Bushcraft

Bushcraft

What better place for an introduction to outdoor survival than the grounds of Graythwaite in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Our bushcraft experiences range from 2 hours to 4 hours to a full day and will teach you the joys of outdoor living including respecting and harnessing nature through the acquisition of ancient skills.

Typically we include friction fire lighting, an element of open fire water boiling or cooking, shelter building and tracking. Each bushcraft experience is designed to suit you from a children’s party to the adult outdoor enthusiast wanting to thrive rather than purely survive in the wilderness.

As with all our experiences, the booking would be just for you and those in your party together with one of our instructors.  These activities provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect and to enjoy the great outdoors.

Family bushcraft, 2 hours, includes;

  • shelter building

‘The great thing about bushcraft is that wherever you go, the skills go with you.’ Ray Mears.
