To enhance your event or group activity booking at Graythwaite, we offer BBQ, picnic or chilli pot and jacket potatoes options for lunch or early evening depending upon your event format.  Or, we can point you in the direction of some local caterers.  Please note, in all cases minimum numbers or a minimum spend applies – varies per caterer.

Ideal for larger family occasions, groups or corporate events, our offering varies from rustic to fine dining and everything in between.  For example;

Private dining- if you’re staying on the estate rather than going out for dinner, why not let Chef come to you. The estate office will be able to share suggestions of trusted partners.

Festival food- for our larger events, we create our outdoor food festival with an international flavour; choose from BBQ items, paella, pizzas, curry, chilli nachos and more. ‘Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul.’

Bar- Of course, if you’re going to have catering at your event, you’re going to need a bar! From a simple rustic wooden bar under canvas or you may prefer our converted horsebox bar. Options include ‘free bars’ where you pay for the drinks on a sale or return basis or simply pay for our infrastructure and bar team to a cash bar with a minimum spend. 

We pride ourselves on using local partners and local ingredients so that guests enjoy the real taste of the Lake District. As a county we’re bursting with creative culinary talent, and it’s only right you get to experience some of that whilst you’re our guests. Remember, happiness is sharing good food with good friends.
