We’re not always on site at Graythwaite as we may be with clients or running events elsewhere in the Lake District, so we urge you to get in touch and book in advance, rather than to arrive onto the Estate expecting to be able to take part in one of our epic experiences. We really wouldn’t want you to be disappointed.
We’re here 7 days a week to speak with, so please feel free to call the mobile numbers below.
We are located on the Graythwaite Estate between Newby Bridge and Ambleside. Following postcode LA12 8BA will take you to the Hall in the heart of the Estate but look out for our 4×4 and Shooting Site, and Watersports site, both before you get to the Hall.
Depending upon your group size we’re happy to arrange transport from your home or holiday accommodation.
A fun way to reduce the journey time from Bowness or Windermere is to jump on the car ferry.
We’d be delighted to pick you up anywhere on the shores of Windermere by RIB and transport your party to Graythwaite Estate.
We have a helicopter landing site on the estate and are happy to arrange helicopter transport for you or welcome you in your own.
Continue along the B5825 until you reach Hawkshead. From Hawkshead, follow signs towards Newby Bridge. Stay on this road for roughly 5 miles.
You will pass Esthwaite Water Trout Fishery on your left, continue on past. You will then pass Graythwaite Saw Mill on your right before the entrance to Graythwaite Gardens which are also on your right. From here continue down the road for around ½ mile. The entrance gate to the car park will be on your left and marked with a Graythwaite Adventure sign either side of the gate. Please turn into the field and follow the track to our car park.
Follow signs towards Lakeside, YMCA Centre and Hawkshead and continue on the B5825.
You will pass the YMCA Centre on your right before passing the entrance to Silverholme Manor. Continue past the main entrance to the estate on your left until you come to a small post box installed in a wall on your right. Now is the time to slow down; you will see a Graythwaite Adventure sign on the gate which will be on your right. Please turn into the field and follow the track to our car park.
